ReplyDeleteAbsolutely loved Wild Hair (all of a five minute read, yet I am still laughing, remembering the illustrations and thinking how appropriate!). Have now read much of the slow cooking blog as well and find that as useful as the book. Great index - absolutely wonderful in fact. The Three Weissmans of Westport was a soapopera and more of a tragic summer read. The Devil and Sherlock Holmes was the most interesting of the short stories/chapters in that book. Elly Griffiths was fabulous and I still await the second in the series - already published in the UK! I am hooked on Ariana Franklin, as well as her other name Diana Norman. Enjoyed the education of Mercator too.
